What a great race in santa barbara today!

I just got back from my first SUP race today. It was a benefit race for make a wish foundation. It was in conjuction with Wine and Roses, a hobie cat sailing event. Only 12 signed up but we all had fun and no matter what place you came in, you got a bottle of wine! Stand up paddle sports of santa barbara were there to help out and had a few new race boards to try out. I took out my Laird 11' and came in 5th in my division. It was an up and back race around a buoy. I gambled by going through the kelp and lost that bet. Great race and thanks to all those you helped out. I am hoping they will come up for the Ken Harmount paddle on 9.12.09. Do you find this valuable?

Neat, Tom! I'm glad you had a good time and did well. I'm especially liking the wine part of the whole affair :-)
