Thanks for coming to the Sean Morley class and slide show

I want to thank the paddlers that came out for the two classes taught by Sean Morley. Doug, Ron, Tiffany and Kat. You guys looked awesome during the forward stroke clinic and got to put all of that to good use in the afternoon rough water/rescue class. The weather was great and we paddled out beyond the breakwater to find the wind and swell. I haven't seen such BIG eyes on paddlers in a long time. We went through the rocks between the breakwater and the large rock just outside with a 5-7' swell running and everyone did great.

The slide show afterward was also just as great. Tiffany, Doug, Kat and her husband Jim, really went above and beyond in getting treats and coffee. I was very inspired to become a better paddler after seeing what Sean has done. 6 months to go around all Great Britain and Ireland. Wow! the pics were amazing! Also the Vancouver trip was great. I will take Sean' s advice and spend some time to explore if I ever get up there.Big kudos to Paul at Central Coast Kayaks for finding the venue at the Shell beach Vets' hall.

To see more of Sean's trips etc check out www.expedtionkayak.com

let's do something like this again. Very cool.

That was one of the most enjoyable days I've had on the water. Sean's a great teacher and the things we learned were invaluable. He had so much knowledge and some great advice and for such a big time sea kayaker, he's one of the most down to earth and fun guys I've met. What a fabulous day it was! Only 5 to 7' swell? Funny how much bigger it looks when you're in the midst of it :-)

And the slide show was superb! I'd been wanting to see his Vancouver presentation for the longest time, but didn't realize he was presenting his Great Britain trip, too. How fortunate for us to have him here to do it. The guy is an iron man of paddling, no doubt.

Thank you so very, very much for getting him down here, Tom. And for co-teaching the classes--I found it comforting to know both of you guys were there when we went between the rocks and the breakwater! It was an excellent day and evening. And ditto "let's do something like this again"!
