Any suggestions for which paddles would be good for somebody learning to surf a Kaos? Do you find this valuable?

When surfing you need a faster stroke rate with the paddle nearly vertical. With a generally larger blade than sea kayaking. More of a whitewater style paddle. Check the Werner web site for their paddle selection calculator. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Werner makes a great set of paddles that can be ordered with a small shaft. Aquabound also has a few good ones for surf as well. there are plenty of paddle companies out there, find out what you want to spend and then check the maker and paddle features. I paddle with a 190cm when i surf and I know others who go even shorter but for a kaos i would use that as a place to start. come by sometime and you can use my paddle if you want.
