Marine Forecast for the San Luis Obispo area

Overall buoy information from Washington to Baja. A good resource to see wind speed and wave heights along our coast.

Wetsand provides surf forecasts around the world. This link is for the Central Coast http://www.wetsand.com/swellwatch/report.asp?locationid=2&tabid=1441&subtabid=0&catid=294&subcatid=294&SPLTabID=429
Xtremebigair.com has one page with webcams and windspeeds for the pismo, oceano and morro bay area. You can check the wind before you head out and see how foggy or sunny it is.

Other fun sites:
Check out the online chart site. Pick a chart and pull it up on your screen. Print it out and you have a chart to work with or plan a trip to new location. (Pacific chart area) http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer/PacificCoastViewerTable.shtml
The California Coastal Records Project is an aerial photographic survey of the entire California coastline (excepting Vandenberg AFB). Some of the photos are from a few years back, but it's nice to see what you might encounter on your next paddle. Take a look, it's pretty neat http://www.californiacoastline.org
