Gary and I are paddling out of Shell tomorrow at 8:00 am if anybody else would like to join us. We're probably headed up the coast towards Pirate's Cove.

We are in the planning stages for a 4th of July paddle in Morro Bay to watch the fireworks. Also thinking of roasting hot dogs for dinner. Watch this thread for details to come.

Is there anybody else up for this idea? I'm thinking some time this summer on a low wind and swell couple of days. And no fog unless you're a great navigator (I have zero compass skills outside of the desert). Paddle down, camp at Pt. Sal State Beach, paddle back the next morning.

I'm going regardless, but company would be nice.

Email me or post if you're interested or have questions.

Hey all,

There's a canoe and kayak race on Sunday 8 June at Baywood to benefit the Morro Bay High Cross Country Team. The race is held in conjunction with Junefest.

You sign up the day of the race and it costs $7 per boat. It's a 1 mile course around the bay. They are working out the start time so I will post back with that later.

This sounds like a ton of fun and I'm planning on doing it! Who else is going to be there?!
